Joy of Weaving is an ongoing project the artist Doro Seror is performing worldwide. She collects old clothes and transforms them into art and craft objects. She teaches the techniques so that everyone can create something new from old clothes. The aim is that the old clothes are not transported around the world to be incinerated in landfills in developing countries, but that they are recycled where they are worn without any industrial process. As part of the Joy of Weaving project, she connects with artists from all over the world who like to deal with the contemplative methods of weaving and textile handcrafting.
